I like the control in Davinci and the speed editor since many years ago I worked for a small production house with a switching and editing board. I know I'll (eventually) be buying a 64GB RAM 2021 MBP, and would like to hear the case for FCP over DR (Studio) from FCP users. Basically I'm looking to transition away from PPro which I've been using since 2012. everything is gpu accelerated in davinci and it is very smooth and responsive, very little seems to be gpu accelerated in hitfilm. Final Cut Pro over Davinci Resolve Studio I'm testing FCP, DR (free version) and PPro on a 2012 MBP. But that’s mostly due to lack of financial incentive from developers as the absolute numbers of pro level M1/M2 iPad users is still pretty small compared.
iPad Pro users constantly complain about the lack of hardware intensive pro level apps. the stability and performance is worth it in the end. I hope Davinci Resolve sells well and Blackmagic makes a killing off of this. i dont expect hitfilm will ever support that.

Depending on where you stand on the Mac versus PC argument, this may not be of concern to you. Final Cut Pro is Apple software, and can only be used on a Mac, whereas Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve works well on both PCs and Macs. Not sure if Im missing some settings or what. i shoot hdr10 videos now so davinci was pretty much the only option. Platform The most significant difference between Final Cut Pro and DaVinci is the device you need to power it. It breaks apart so much faster in Davinci. What is the BMPCC? (archived - product discontinued by manufacturer) Honestly with Color Finale my colors look better in FCP than Davinci. This is where everything and anything related to BlackMagic Design's Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC), Micro Cinema Camera (BMMCC), Pocket Cinema Camera 4K (BMPCC 4K), Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (BMPCC 6K) and Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (BMPCC 6K Pro) will be posted.
